Bike to new Vistas for Fall Foliage

Get off the main road and peddle deep into the Arkansas River Valley for spectacular views reserved for adventurous spirits! The valley is renowned for its huge (and growing) trail systems and boasts hundreds of miles of singletrack and 4-wheel-drive roads perfect for all levels of mountain bikers.

“What’s great about biking with RMOC is that we cater to everyone,” says Owner Brandon Slate. “If you can ride a bike, you can mountain bike with us.”

We spoke with a few of our recent clients, and this is what they had to say:

KYLE:

I learned to ride a bike as a young kid, but I’m from Minnesota and had never ridden my bike anywhere except for on the road or on a designated trail, usually paved or along the banks of a river. I am dating this cute girl from Colorado Springs who mountain bikes, and she swore I’d be able to do it.

First of all, I loved my rental bike. It was a great ride that the guides at RMOC adjusted to fit me, so it felt like my own. Then, despite my nerves, I was so comfortable with my instructor! We were a small group of mostly beginners, and I felt like I was part of a team yet had all the individual attention I needed. On my first day, I was able to learn the basics and left feeling confident enough to ride some singletrack the next day with my girlfriend. I impressed her (and myself), and by the end of the week, I was riding longer and more advanced routes. I will definitely be back to take the Level 2 course next time I’m in town and am tickled to know I can rent RMOC’s awesome equipment instead of having to invest in my own bike (yet).

MIAH:

I grew up mountain biking in Utah and just visited Buena Vista for the first time because I was a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding. As part of the bachelorette party celebration, we booked a guided tour with RMOC, and it was the best part of the trip (don’t tell the bride).

As sometimes happens, we weren’t in the best physical shape the morning of our ride. We were dropped off at the top of Cottonwood Pass and cruised after our guide for miles and miles taking in gorgeous scenery and lots of pit stops for photo opportunities and shenanigans.

I already have another guided trip booked for the end of September, and I cannot wait to try some singletrack and see those huge Aspen groves lit up and glowing gold.

That’s just two people’s opinions. Come and ride with us and see what you have to say for yourself!
