The Adventures are Year-Round at RMOC
Let the seasons determine your stoke with our help at Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center. When winter rolls in, our guides look up to the mountains, trading their rafts and kayaks for snowboards and skis. Passionate about our craft, guided tours from RMOC offer expert knowledge to guests with a wide range of abilities and interests. Riders can discover the backcountry from a high level of experience or approach from a fun, thrilling ride through fresh powder.
Go technical on a Backcountry Terrain Selection course, where you’ll learn everything from basic map reading to safety measures, like how to dig a snow pit and analyze the stability. This course is designed for skiers competent on black diamond terrain. Completion of an intro course is preferred. This is a great option for out-of-town skiers and snowboarders who have the skills and want to discover the routes in a new area. Nothing beats following the lines of someone who knows exactly where to go. Skis and splitboards are provided by Weston Backcountry, making this course an incredible deal with great gear.
The annual shedding of layers means that summer has come, and it’s time to swap snowboards for surfboards. Luckily, we have a course for that. Catch a wave in Colorado with the River Surfing course, where you’ll learn how to paddle into a standing river wave. Free wetsuit rentals are available, and all equipment is included. With an American Canoe Association certified Badfish team member on each course, you will be in good guided hands.
