These courses provide a foundation of first aid principles and skills to be able to respond to emergencies.

Wilderness First Aid

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course is to provide individuals a foundation of first aid principles and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response. Topics covered will range from dealing with trauma, medical and environmental emergencies in a remote location as well as calling for help and evacuation considerations. The American Red Cross CPR and AED certificate is also included in this course.

  • Requirements: 18 years old or 14 years old with parent/guardian participating in course.
  • Duration: 18 hours total. 16 Hours Wilderness First Aid & Remote Care, 2 CPR/AED. Course will meet from 8:00am-6:00 PM and have a hour lunch break each day.
  • Certificates: Upon successful completion and evaluation participants will receive certificates for American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid & Remote Care – American Red Cross CPR and AED.
  • American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid and Remote Care Reference Guide & Pocket Guide included.
  • 2025 Dates: April 26-27

Basic First Aid/CPR

Learn basic first aid techniques including CPR/AED.  The American Red Cross CPR and AED certificate is also included in this course.
