Start with a basic introduction to raft equipment and rigging. Then head to the lake to learn basic strokes, swimmer rescue, and flip recovery. If time permits, finish with a class II river run.
Available any day May 1 - Sept 30. Time and costs vary. See details.
We often find that groups of less than 5 can cover the L1 and L2 material in the same day. With this lesson, a longer timeframe is needed to cover the curriculum of both courses. This is a great option for those who are eager to get on the river!
Learn to read the river and avoid obstacles. This course introduces concepts like finding the main current and using it to assist maneuvers. Additional topics include basic hydrology, terminology, and how to recognize and deal with river hazards.
Don’t miss camp on your next multi-day trip! Learn and refine the rowing skills necessary to navigate in moving water. This course will provide practice with catching eddies, peeling out, and ferrying across current in a Class II setting.
Time to put your skills to the test and start running steeper drops and harder moves.
