Three Exciting Days in Buena Vista, CO, with RMOC

Located in the heart of the Arkansas River Valley with the Collegiate Peaks serving as a larger-than-life backdrop, Buena Vista, CO, is the place for year-round outdoor adventure. This summer, experience unreal rafting, rock climbing, biking, camping, and more with RMOC. Our professionally trained staff stand ready to keep you safe, share their knowledge of the area, connect with you on a human level, and treat you to an exhilarating getaway unlike any other.

We compiled this three-day itinerary to aid in your planning and help you squeeze every last bold drop out of your time with us.

Day 1

Duck into Roosters Crow Cafe and fuel up before heading to RMOC for an inspiring, full day on the Arkansas River.

We offer several whitewater rafting levels to best suit the needs of your group. A fine choice is our full-day Beginner/Intermediate Raft Trip through Brown’s Canyon. Remote and scenic, Brown’s Canyon is among the most sought-after rafting trips around. You’ll float through Brown’s upper and lower sections and conquer the notorious Seidel’s Suckhole rapid. Don’t worry about lunch — our full-day rafting trips provide tasty meals for all.

After wrapping up your day on the river, stop by Crave BV for pizza or other fresh Italian dishes. Take advantage of the full bar as your group takes turns sharing their favorite parts of the day.

After dinner, head back to our place to stay at the Good View Campground. We have primitive, individual, and group walk-in sites along the river, individual and group car camping sites, and car camping in our parking lot. There is limited availability, so please make reservations in advance.

Day 2

Start your day on a high and healthy note in our charming downtown at The Blend, a smoothie and quick bites café. Powered up and ready to go, make your way to RMOC by 8:30 am for a Half Day Guided Climb. We offer guided rock climbing opportunities for all skill levels, provide the necessary equipment, and set you up with professional guides trained by the American Mountain Guides Association.

At 1:30 pm, after a gorgeous and rewarding half day on the rocks, pop into Eddyline Restaurant at Southmain for a juicy burger and some of their freshly brewed beer.

Take the rest of the afternoon to leisurely explore the boutiques and art galleries of the South Main neighborhood or our historic downtown.

If there’s live music going down, end an incredible day at The BEACH, an outdoor music venue on the Arkansas River. Other options are The Lariat and Deerhammer Distillery.

Day 3

Center yourself for today’s adventure with a relaxing, classic breakfast at Bread + Salt, where the food follows the seasons using fresh Colorado ingredients. Take a deep breath of that fresh Buena Vista morning air before returning to RMOC for a Full Day Guided Bike Ride with a check-in time of 9 am.

We have beginner, intermediate, and advanced rides and provide all necessary equipment, a professional guide, and lunch. Soak in the unique combination of high mountain forest and desert landscapes as you pedal on and enjoy the ride.

At day’s end, treat yourself to dinner and drinks at Wesley & Rose Lobby Bar to celebrate three unbelievable days of RMOC adventure.
